Who’s In the Driver’s Seat?

Power: I am saved by God’s redeeming power.

Purpose: I was redeemed for God’s purpose.

Connection: we are purposed for connection; connection to God, and connection to His people.

Do I believe God can use social media and fortune cookies to speak to us? I do. And I believe He has done JUST THAT!

As I was preparing my gift bags for my speech this weekend, I was eating dinner; my husband had gotten us some take out Chinese food, and after I had eaten, I was finishing up my gifts, and I opened my fortune cookie. The message I was preparing was on my mind. I was talking about taking a virtual road trip with the ladies, and this message was in my fortune cookie: YOUR PLACE IN LIFE IS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT- BUCKLE UP.

This message could be perceived in different ways, because often when we prepare to do something for Gods glory, an imposter will try to step in and take our focus off the Lord. We need to remain awake and alert, watching for the enemy who prowls around looking for someone to destroy.

I choose to see the Lord, and His truth for me in the current circumstances. The universe is His. I believe He can and will use anything to speak to his children.

I know that God will take anything the enemy means for harm, and He will use it for good.

So when the enemy tries to take the focus off God, telling me my place is in the drivers seat, I am willing to step aside and allow the Lord His rightful place, trusting Him to get me where He wants me. He is my driver!

I believe God allowed me to see the message at the perfect time, demonstrating his perfect love for me, and his attention to the details of my life. He knew I had just come through a difficult time, and I believe He was letting me know He is with me.

I am not in the driver’s seat, but I know who is. My place in life is where God calls me, because He is in charge. But I am buckled up, because I know this is going to be an awesome ride!
